Bidding works like other online auctions.
While some auctions use Reserves, we do not! All items start at a $5 opening bid!
When an auction closes, it will say “You Won” on the item.
Our auctions are soft close auctions. That means that at the auction close time, the first lot will start closing, and then xx seconds later the next, and so on, until the auction has completely closed. If a lot receives a new bid in the last minute, it will automatically add 2 minutes to the closing time, to ensure everyone has a chance to win. The time between lots will change from auction to auction, but in general, is between 15 – 20 seconds between each close. We hope this is helpful!
Yes. Once we have a state tax exemption certificate on file, we will happily remove your sales tax. This can be done when you pickup your items.
We email out your invoice within 1 to 2 hours after the last auction lot closes / ends. The pickup days and hours are listed for every auction in the Auction Details. In general, we try and have our pickup days the Friday and Saturday after the auction from 10 to 6 each day. If you have any questions, email Steve@atxauctions.com.
We do NOT offer any shipping via FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc. The only “shipping” available is to our Pflugerville location for eligible lots. An additional handling fee will apply.
For winners picking up in Alice, you can pay with Cash or Card onsite when you come in. Yiu can also contact us and request that we bill the card on file.
For winners who require their item(s) be shipped to Pflugerville, please contact us at Steve@atxauctions.com and let us know. We will update the Buyers Premium to account for the shipping fees and will send you an online payment link. You can also request that we bill the card on file.
All invoices must be paid by 6 PM on the 2nd day of auction pickup. We will bill your card on file at that point. Unpaid invoices will lead to revoked bidding priviliges.
The buyer’s premium is a charge, in addition, to the closing price of an auction item, or lot. The winning bidder is required to pay both the closing price and the percentage of that price called for by the buyer’s premium. We do offer a 3% discount (13% vs 16%) on the Buyers Premium for winners who pay in cash onsite.
“You May Have Won” means the auction reserve was not met and the item or lot will be re-listed on a future auction.
An auction reserve is the minimum price the seller is willing to accept for an item.
The maximum bid is the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item. Maximum bids are also referred to as proxy bids. When you place a max bid, the system will auto-bid for you up to that amount. If the winning bid is lower than your max bid, you are only charged the winning bid price. Ex. if you placed a Max bid of $101.00 on an item and the final price was $76, you will only be charged $76 (plus any applicable Buyers Premium and Sales Tax)
We do our best to accurately convey the condition of the product in the description field of the listing. We also include pictures of any damage we see. However, we are unable to take every piece out of every box. If an item is not as described, we will honor a return / refund.
The item condition is intended to be a clear and accurate description that lets the buyer know whether they’re getting something new, used, or something in between, e.g., “new, open box” or “used, good condition”, “Incomplete”, etc.
Cosmetic damage is superficial damage to an item that does not affect the functionality of an item.
You will be notified by email within two hours of the closing of the auction. You can also login to your hibid.com dashboard for any winning notifications. If you do not see the emailed invoice, please check your junk/spam folder.
